MY STORY

My Creative Journey:

From Nurse to Jewelry Designer

Coming from a family with many artistic talents, it was only a matter of time before I discovered my own creative spark.  In 1992, I stumbled upon my passion for jewelry making. My Family owned a needlepoint shop.  While attending a national needlepoint sales convention with them in Boulder, Colorado I spotted a charming bead shop that had a cute simple beaded bracelet with a buffalo nickel clasp in its display window.  I was immediately drawn to it and decided to take an impromptu class. I left the store with a beautiful piece I had created myself and a little bag full of beads and supplies.  Ever since that day, I have been designing and creating jewelry using various techniques such as metal stamping, wire wrapping, sand casting, and more.  A silversmith at heart, I have taken numerous jewelry making and design classes and have been fortunate to learn from some amazing teachers along the way.  I am passionate about my work and grateful for their time and support that has helped me hone my craft.  While I enjoy working as a nurse, my love for jewelry design has led me to continue creating in my spare time. When I'm not working in my little studio, I cherish every moment with my supportive husband and our three children.
